Public Transportation & Hazard Pay for Poll Workers

2 resolutions will be considered on July 28

At the council meeting on Tuesday, July 28 at 7:30 pm, the Fitchburg Common Council will consider

  1. A resolution in support of public transportation and to rededicate the City of Fitchburg to our partnership with Madison Metro transit.

  2. A resolution to provide hazard pay for poll workers for the August and November 2020 elections.

These resolutions were drafted by me and co-sponsored by Alder Maldonado. Please read and provide testimony if you have strong feelings about these.

Options for submitting feedback

  1. Attend the 7/28 council meeting starting at 7:30 pm and give a 3 minute testimony telling the council where you stand on the issue. When you arrive, fill out a form at the back of the room stating that you’d like to make a statement

  2. If you can’t attend in person, submit written testimony to the mayor, which he will read at the 7/28 meeting. Please specify which resolution you are referring to. Email him at aaron.richardson@fitchburgwi.gov

  3. Watch the council meetings live at the Fitchburg City website or watch the Youtube video posted the day following the meeting.

  4. Send feedback to the entire council and mayor at Council&Mayor@fitchburgwi.gov
